ARCO Group worked with the Whangarei District Council& Air New Zealand to redevelopment the existing Airport. The building was finished in a combination of printed precast panels, painted flat sheet, prefinished aluminium cladding, aluminium windows & door and long-run iron.

This project involved the following:

Concept working drawings, detailed engineering and architectural drawings
Process of the building consent
Major extension to the front of the airport to accommodate extra passengers
Airport lounge area
Upgraded & fitted out the Air New Zealand offices
Upgrade of Air New Zealand check-in area
New baggage claim area
New baggage processing area
Covered access way from the tarmac to the terminal
Refurbishment of entrance way
Refurbishment of toilet blocks
Refurbishment of the flight planning & controls room
