ARCO Group partnered with the ARISE Church to undertake the project management, design & construction of their new Church facility in Whangarei bringing this project within our client’s specification & project delivery budget. ARCO Group rose to the challenge to deliver this new church from a variety of architectural finishes, exposed structural steel, prefinished exterior aluminium cladding, natural timbers & prefinished plywood. Our client originally had planned & budgeted to upgrade their existing facilities, but however through our feasibility studies, we identified that it was more cost effective and efficient to construct a new standalone facility onsite, demolish the existing facility and construct a new carpark. ARCO Group managed the project from feasibility studies, resource consent, concept drawings, developed design, right through to completion & project handover.
This project involved the following:
- Project feasibility study covering finance, buildability, programme and return on investment
- Architecture design, structural engineering, fire report & seismic report
- Project management from design through to project handover
- 1,800m2 of new building
- 5,800m2 of new concrete carpark
- Commercial kitchen & café area
- 400-person Auditorium
- Foyer & reception area
- Toilets & associated facilities
- Kids rooms & play areas
- All associated services including AV & lighting
- All associated finishing trades
