Mainstream is a world class integrated supply chain partner to many business in New Zealand, delivering freight around the world. ARCO Group are pleased to showcase this completed design & construct project for Mainstream New Zealand. With a strict timeline for completion, ARCO Group stepped up to the task & delivered the new 1800m² Mainstream Whangarei Distribution Centre just 20 weeks from signing of the contract, allowing the client to move from their previous site by the 1st April. Client feedback illustrates this successful build – “Moreover, they did it so on spec and on budget too. The ARCO team were professional throughout the build and their communication excellent. We hope to build again with them someday”
This project involved the following:
- Project feasibility & buildability reviews to ensure
- Architectural design, structural engineering, geotechnical investigations & report, fire reports, resource consent & building consent applications & approval
- Ground stabilization works prior to construction due to the ground stability
- Construction of a 1,800sqm purpose-built freight distribution centre
- Covered canopy for loading & unloading of freight trucks
- 250m2 of commercial office & operational facilities
- 3,500m2 of structural reinforced concrete yard
- Precast panel & structural steel building
- Concrete floor & yard for truck access and loading
