Redevelopment of Mokaba Café

ARCO Group partnered with Whangarei District Council & Mokaba Café Directors to complete the redevelopment of the Mokaba Café and surrounding tenants. ARCO Group were engaged early by the Whangarei District Council to use our expertise to coordinate the complete project, from project management, design & constructing of the redevelopment works, to ensure there was no risk to their tenants or any members of the public whilst this significant upgrade was undertaken. ARCO Group are pleased to have partnered again with the Whangarei District Council to redevelop another section of the Town Basin, helping to bring a quality experience to Mokaba Café that has been serving customers since the early 2000’s.

This project involved the following:

  • Project feasibility study covering finance, buildability, programme and return on investment
  • Architecture design, structural engineering, fire report & seismic report
  • Project management from design through to project handover
  • Construction of a new commercial kitchen & associated facilities
  • Re-roof & upgrade of the exterior of the building to suit the new café layout
  • Complete fitout of the interior including the following
  • Electrical
  • Heating, cooling & ventilation
  • Suspended ceilings
  • Floor Coverings
  • Interior & exterior painting
  • All associated fitout and finishing trades
